Community Collaboration

‘Tools for Tea’ began in Autumn 2021 when I started meeting with a group of community gardeners in Knowle West, Bristol to investigate what was growing in our common spaces that could be used for making herbal tea from. We recognised the importance of tea making and drinking in coming together and showing care for each other.

Instruction Video

If you have a kit then you can use this video to find out how to make. It’s approx 2.5hrs to make, but can be split into many smaller chunks of time.

You’ll need your kit, a hammer (or mallet or straight sided mug) and a ruler.

Edition.

A limited edition of ten tea-strainer kits in brass and silver were created to celebrate this project and share it with the wider community.
